Your marketing consultant, Dawn W. Spalding, boasts over a decade of entertainment and marketing experience having helmed the launches of several of the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex’s top music venues.
She joined Cowboys Entertainment Inc. in 1988 where she served as the Marketing Director and was key in the openings of venues throughout Texas and Georgia. She oversaw all phases of marketing, promotions, public relations and national talent booking for the two Dallas/Ft. Worth Cowboys and Atlanta locations, which have presented such top name country performers as Garth Brooks, Toby Keith,Brooks & Dunn and Tracy Lawrence (over 3000 shows ).Within a one year period the Country Music Association(CMA) awarded Cowboys the Venue of the Year award. Spalding was recognized by International Events Group (IEG) as a pioneer in her field by garnering sponsors for midsize venues. These locations were also hosts to Mobil Oil, Cessna, The Troy Aikman Foundation, and several Olympics sponsors to name a few prominent private rentals of the facilities. This occurred largely in part to Spalding’s communications efforts with the Chambers of Commerce, sports organizations and production of several local and national TV productions. Spalding signed on with Music Mecca Management in August 2000 to work as their Public Relations and Promotions Director for Dallas’ Bronco Bowl. During her tenure, she spear headed all promotional events and directed the production of special events, including televised boxing.
She worked as the Marketing Director for NextStage at Grand Prairie (now, named NokiaTheatre) where she was responsible for the marketing of the Metroplex’s newest most innovative live performance venue. Her duties included strategic planning and execution of media, creative, promotional, press, public relations, research, loyalty and CRM campaigns. Under her leadership, the complex enjoyed a hugely successful opening run with sold out performances for Luis Miguel, B.B. King and The Blue Collar Comedy Tour. Spalding resigned her position in March 2002 following the birth of her first child, Dylan Guy Spalding, and became the Director of Marketing for CSI Entertainment Insurance helping them grow their business 70% .
